CookMidBord4.jpg (1722 bytes) Procedure #2: Chait Trapdoor™ C-Tube

About six weeks after the first procedure, the temporary C-tube is
replaced with a long-term Chait Trapdoor ™ C-tube, which is much
less visible than the temporary tube.

The Trapdoor ™ features a small, soft access port that lies flat
against the skin. A hinged cap opens for access to the internal part
of the tube. (Figures 3a, 3b)

When it is closed, the Trapdoor ™ can be worn under clothing (even
under a bathing suit) without any large noticeable bulges.

NOTE: Both the temporary and Trapdoor ™ C-tubes are made of a
soft plastic material and –to prevent allergic reactions–
they do not contain Latex.
