The radiologist or surgeon inserts a temporary C-tube through the
patient’s abdomen into the cecum. Approximately 3-4 inches of the
tube remains outside the body and is fastened to the skin with tape
or a bandage. (Figure 2)

NOTE: Both the temporary and Trapdoor ™ C-tubes are made of
a soft plastic material and –to prevent allergic reactions–
they do not contain Latex.
