Catheter:
A soft tube that is inserted into the body. In this case, the soft
tube is a cecostomy catheter (or "C-tube") inserted through the
skin of the lower abdomen into the cecum. This C-tube allows
irrigation of enema solution in order to empty the bowels.

Cecostomy:
The creation of an artificial opening into the cecum.

Cecum:
The first portion of the large bowel.

Exit Site:
Where the C-tube comes out of your body.

Irrigation:
Passing an enema solution through a temporary or Chait
Trapdoor ™ C-tube to cleanse the bowels.

Temporary C-tube Cap:
The C-tube cap prevents fluids or other leakage from exiting the
C-tube. By removing the cap, you can inject water or enema
solution through the C-tube.
