Applying a Clean Dressing

For the first two weeks, apply a thin layer of antibiotic cream
over the C-tube exit site.

Cut a piece of gauze as shown. (Figure 8)


Figure 9

Slide the cut piece of gauze around the catheter and under rolled
gauze and suture. (Figure 9)

Figure 10

Cut a second piece of gauze as before, and apply around
catheter exit site and over rolled suture gauze. (Figure 10)

Figure 11

Apply a self-adhesive dressing over the gauze 2x2’s. (Figure 11)
