  1. Wash your hands again.

  1. Carefully clean the exit site with soap and water using clean
    cotton swabs or a washcloth. Clean around the exit site using a
    circular motion and work outward from the center. (Figure 7)
                    
  2. Wipe again with wet cotton balls or a washcloth to remove the
    soap and then pat dry.
